I am a transplanted North Carolinian, having grown up in Connecticut, who got here by way of Buffalo. I’m a teacher and a photographer, and love doing both, but usually not at the same time. I love all kinds of photography, and the whole process from capture, to editing to printing. I have a supportive husband who is a college professor, two children (and 2 kid-in-laws), two cockatiels, two golden retrievers, two grandkids, and they appear in no particular order in order of preference here. We have only one African Grey parrot named Homer Herod Hamilton, and I’ll let him tell you our address.
When I’m not in a classroom or taking portraits or nature shots, I can be found traveling as much as humanly possible, or on my computer trying to figure out something new and mysterious as it relates to photography.
I have to remind myself to take a breath and smell the roses or whatever else is blooming in my NC yard. Life is busy, and photography allows me to slow down, just a little.
